PrimeNG – Core Contributor and Lead Maintainer

As the lead maintainer and core contributor for PrimeNG, I was responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and LTS (Long-Term Support) releases of this widely-used Angular UI component library. I collaborated with PrimeTek’s design team to implement new features based on Figma designs and provided technical support to PrimeTek’s PRO customers. My responsibilities included bug fixing, implementing feature requests, and enhancing performance to meet the evolving needs of the developer community. Additionally, I supported the PrimeReact and PrimeVue teams to ensure the portability of features across frameworks.

Key Contributions:

Maintained PrimeNG with regular LTS releases, ensuring the stability and longevity of the library.

Managed technical support for enterprise-level PRO customers, addressing complex implementation issues and providing optimized solutions.

Implemented unit tests and conducted code reviews to ensure high code quality.

Developed new features and fixed bugs, improving the overall performance and usability of PrimeNG.

Collaborated with the design team to transform Figma templates into fully functional Angular components.

2260 commits to PrimeNG, contributing to the continuous growth and adoption of the library. Process:

Reviewed issues on a daily basis, categorizing and prioritizing them for the upcoming bi-weekly releases.

Delivered monthly LTS releases, providing enhanced stability for long-term users.

Provided real-time technical support to PRO customers while balancing the ongoing development and maintenance of the library. Results:

Increased adoption of PrimeNG, measurable through npm download statistics.

Significant contributions to the growth and stability of PrimeNG, enhancing its reliability for developers worldwide.
