Revamping a Cafe's Website for Improved User Experience

Client: Xochi the Dog Cafe

A local cafe wanted to improve their website's usability and overall aesthetic appeal, with the goal of attracting more customers, creating a more cohesive online presence, and showcasing all the wonderful drinks and food that the cafe has to offer.

I began the project by conducting research on the cafe and interviewing the owner to understand the target audience and their vision and design preferences. I gained insights into key features customers look for, such as easy access to the menu, photos of the cafe's interior and exterior, and an events calendar.

Using these insights, I created a new website design that emphasized simplicity and easy navigation. I incorporated high-quality photos of the cafe, an updated menu with clear pricing, and a calendar for community events. The design also featured a responsive layout that provided an optimal viewing experience across all devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Then, I implemented the design on Wix. The implementation process was seamless because the cafe's previous site was already on Wix.

The revamped website design significantly improved the user experience for potential customers. The new design now featured clear navigation and improved access to menus, resulting in an increase in website traffic and engagement, which translated into increased foot traffic at the cafe itself.

By leveraging user research and design best practices, I was able to successfully revamp the cafe's website and improve its overall user experience. The updated website design helped to attract new customers and improve customer retention, ultimately translating into increased revenue for the cafe.
