What are those transparent things floating in our vision?

Before you try to check whether they are visible, I’d suggest you look away onto a “light-colored area”, preferably the sky or a plain wall.
Believe me, I’ve noticed this back in my childhood. It felt pretty cool thinking it was only me who can see it, kinda like a superpower allowing me to see air. Yea, I was crazy!
They look like small transparent microbes or bubbles or even threads. Not necessarily in one particular shape. These are called Floaters or muscae volitantes (from the Latin, meaning ‘flying flies’).

The floaters generally exist inside the eye. These tiny bits of objects could be protein, tissue, or RBCs(Red blood cells) suspended in a vitreous gel in the eye. They are often caused by aging and will usually become less bothersome as a person learns to ignore them. Looking up/down and left/right will cause the floaters to leave the direct field of vision as the vitreous gel swirls around due to the sudden movement.
Although they are very distracting or annoying, there’s nothing to worry about it unless they are more in number that’s clogging your vision. If that’s the case, consulting with your doctor is recommended.
