For the misleading lightness with which the director synthesizes the monstrosity of the contemporary world’s ignorance, for the effective cinematic strategy through which this project illustrates the disastrous consequences of emotional wounds and for the authenticity of the characters that synthesize a kind of social micro-masquerade, ‘Ophelia’ was awarded the 2nd Film of the Monthly distinction in the November 2018 edition of TMFF.
