Beepr: WebView Prototype to Native Mobile App

The problem

Beepr had outgrown its Capacitor WebView prototype. The product needed reliable native background geolocation, push notifications, faster geospatial queries, and a safer path to production without interrupting users.

What I led

I took the app from its WebView prototype to React Native with Expo Bare and audited 51 Supabase Edge Functions. I rebuilt the background geolocation flow for native execution, introduced PostGIS for geospatial work, and planned a zero-downtime cutover.

Delivery focus

The work centered on the systems behind the screens: background execution, location reliability, backend logic, and production migration risk. The result was a production mobile app with 100% background geolocation reliability reported for the implementation.

Relevant for

Founders and product teams whose MVP has become unstable, delayed, or difficult to extend. I help identify the architectural bottleneck, map the delivery risk, and move the product toward a dependable release.
