In the Hexclad project, I played a pivotal role in improving user conversion rates during the checkout process through A/B testing strategies. Collaborating closely with the team, we executed tests focusing on different checkout page elements. Notably, we emphasized Gordon Ramsay's endorsement and prominent press logos.
The results were remarkable:
On desktop, we achieved an impressive 46.59% increase in conversion for users exposed to the Gordon Ramsay highlight, and a 44.49% increase for those who saw the press logos.
Similarly, on mobile devices, the Gordon Ramsay highlight led to a 38.23% conversion boost, while press logos resulted in a 36.86% increase.
These improvements held substantial implications. For instance, on mobile, where the initial average order value (AOV) was $447.78 in Q1, the conversion enhancement translated to a potential additional monthly revenue of approximately $1.982 million. On desktop, with an estimated AOV of $403.12, the potential increase amounted to around $1,118,523.62.
Overall, my contributions to this project underscore my proficiency in driving positive user engagement and revenue growth through meticulous A/B testing and development skills needed to implement these features.
