Creative Piece (Mock Project)

This "practice project" set out to highlight the ability of the writer to create a tangible atmosphere by cleverly arranging and manipulating words -a skill that took months to acquire to the level I currently wield. It took a few hours for the prompt that my professor graciously provided to give way to an idea, but after getting that out of the way, the project proceeded quite smoothly.

The piece follows a family in Abuja, Nigeria; as they worry about their extended family members caught up in protests in Lagos, a state too far away for comfort. The full piece is 600 words and it took roughly 2 days to complete. Please get in touch with me about it.
