This "practice project" set out to highlight the ability of the writer to create a tangible atmosphere by cleverly arranging and manipulating words -a skill that took months to acquire to the level I currently wield. It took a few hours for the prompt that my professor graciously provided to give way to an idea, but after getting that out of the way, the project proceeded quite smoothly.
