India’s Luxury Divide – Video Editing Project
In this project, I worked on the introductory edit for a documentary-style video exploring India in 2024—a nation of sharp contrasts.
The narrative highlights two sides of the story:
On one end, India ranks third globally in billionaires, with the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals forecasted to grow by 50% in the next five years.
On the other, 75% of Indians hold less than $10,000 in total wealth, painting a picture of stark inequality.
My role was to shape the opening sequence of this video, setting the tone for a deep dive into the country’s evolving luxury landscape. With powerful visuals, pacing, and storytelling, the edit introduces key themes such as:
The psychology of new-age luxury consumers
Cultural shifts redefining status and aspiration
The role of AI in shaping buying behavior
Predictions for India’s $85–90B luxury market by 2030
This project challenged me to craft a visually engaging start that would hook viewers into the subject while maintaining a cinematic, data-driven narrative style.
