Korty EO - Youtuber and Creator

👉🏽 I built this website as part of a web exploration series I'm starting in collaboration with designers. It is basically a translation of Korty EO's (a Youtuber/content creator in Lagos, Nigeria) amazing persona and work into a digital experience. I worked on it with a UI and motion designer (names and handles in the credits section ), while I handled art direction and development.

To build a Web Portfolio that will:

🏷 Translate Korty's life and work into a meaningful digital experience.

🏷 Communicate her experiences in the most visually exciting way possible.

🏷 Show off a gallery of her images with motion.

👨🏽‍💻 Art direction and curating ideas/mood boards from basically no reference point.

Created a notion document with the designer - Isaac Fayemi and started filling it with random ideas we thought captured the essence of Korty's brand. Moved on from there to thinking about typography, layout, hierarchy, and motion design.

Coding: JS, CSS, HTML, Nuxtjs, Greensock, GitHub.

Static side generation and image prefetching for better user experience (Lighthouse performance score of 99%).

I loved the idea of horizontal scrolling content and galleries, as well as page transitions.
