Since 2007, the Sled Island Music Festival in Calgary, AB, has been creating an eclectic platform for all sorts of independent musicians, artists, and comedians. As part of their festival, a select group of bands will have custom screen-printed posters made to promote their show, after being paired up with Canadian artists.
I was paired up to illustrate for The Screaming Females, a "rough-around-the-edges" punk pop band. As it is screenprinted, there is a limit of colours allowed, as wells as differences in how the layers will sit one on top of the other.
