Mama2Mama | Healthy & Fresh Snacks for Baby, Child and Parent
Mama2Mama is a small home bakery run by Daphne, baking healthy, additive-free snacks. Think apple-banana strips, oat balls, and muffins with no refined sugar, split across four target groups: babies (7+ months), toddlers, preschoolers, and parents themselves. Several products are dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegan.
It's a genuinely local, personal business: customers order ahead and pick up their snacks on fixed evenings, and Daphne keeps in touch with regulars through a WhatsApp group and Instagram.
The challenge
Whatever the specific starting point, the underlying problem is one most small food businesses share: a rich, well-loved menu that exists in someone's head (or a chat thread) instead of somewhere customers can actually browse it.
The approach
The site needed to do three things well: make the menu instantly easy to browse, build trust in a category (baby/toddler food) where trust is everything, and stay true to Daphne's warm, home-baked, "made with love" voice.
Menu structured by who it's for, not just what it is. Rather than one long product list, the menu is split into four clear sections; baby, toddler, preschooler, and parents. Each with its own products, prices, and ingredient tags (e.g. Havermout | Banaan | Bosbessen). A parent can jump straight to the age group that matters to them instead of scrolling past products they'll never buy.
Dietary signals up front. Lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan labels sit right at the top of the menu, so parents with allergies or dietary restrictions don't have to hunt for that information.
A visible person behind the products. The site includes a dedicated section introducing Daphne, her story, her reason for starting Mama2Mama, a photo, because in a category like homemade baby food, people buy from a person they trust, not an anonymous shop.
Practical ordering info, not buried. Pickup days and times (Wednesday and Sunday evenings), the WhatsApp group link, and Instagram are all placed where customers naturally look for them, instead of requiring a DM to ask.
Legal groundwork. As a registered business (KVK) selling food products directly to consumers, Mama2Mama needed a privacy statement and terms & conditions in place. Both were drafted and published alongside the site rather than left as an afterthought.

Why it works
Mama2Mama is a small, personal, word-of-mouth business, the kind of client I love to build for: local, product-driven, and better served by a fast, focused site than an overbuilt one. The goal wasn't to make it look like a big brand; it was to make ordering effortless while keeping the handmade, personal feel that's the whole reason people buy from Daphne in the first place.
