The Ultimate Retirement Activity Book is an absolute gem. I received an ARC of this book and immediately gifted it to my grandfather, who is newly retired after almost 55 years in the HVAC industry. It has been a huge hit and has provided him with plenty of fun, mental stimulation and relaxation.
The activity book is his, a retiree’s, dream come true. He is not the most tech-savvy person out there and a paperback activity book, such as this one, is much more accessible to him - it is tailor-made for his golden years. He has particularly enjoyed beginning his day by completing a daily crossword, something that has become a cherished part of his morning routine.
Another of the puzzles that he likes to solve over a morning coffee is a crossword. I’ve also caught him smirking whilst looking through the Ultimate Retirement Activity Book and he’ll then proceed to read, to me, the quote, quip or motto that has brought a smile to his face.
With a whopping 125 puzzles and quizzes, this book offers amazing value and a wide variety of activities to keep my grandfather’s mind sharp. I would have never believed that a gift so simple would be of such great value to him and provide so much quality bonding time for the two of us.
In short, the Ultimate Retirement Activity Book has been hugely successful in keeping my grandfather’s mind away from a return to work following his retirement. He deserves to relax and this book has been great for allowing him to do so. I would highly recommend it for any retirees out there.
