Logline: A washed-up boxer takes one last shot at redemption in the ring, but must confront the demons of his past in order to find true victory.
Synopsis:
Act I:
We meet JOE, a once-promising boxer who has fallen on hard times. He's divorced, estranged from his daughter, and living in a dingy apartment. He's been given one last shot at redemption by his former manager, who wants to put him in a high-profile match against the current heavyweight champion. Joe is hesitant at first, but ultimately decides to take the chance.
Act II:
Joe begins training for the fight, but finds that his skills have diminished over the years. He struggles with the physical demands of training, as well as the emotional toll of confronting his past mistakes. He reconnects with his daughter, who is initially resistant to him, but slowly comes around as she sees him working hard to get his life back on track.
Act III:
The day of the fight arrives, and Joe steps into the ring to face the champion. The fight is brutal and intense, but Joe perseveres and ultimately comes out on top. He has found redemption in the ring, but more importantly, he has reconciled with his daughter and found a sense of purpose in his life.
Themes:
Redemption, perseverance, fatherhood, self-discovery.
Style:
The Last Chance will be a gritty, character-driven drama with intense, visceral fight scenes. The focus will be on Joe's journey towards redemption, and the emotional struggles he faces along the way. The film will have a realistic, grounded feel, with a muted color palette and a somber, introspective tone.
And that's an example of a script treatment! Of course, this is just one way to approach script writing, and the specific style and format may vary depending on the project.
