Rainlily (ACSVAW), a Hong Kong-based sexual violence crisis center, needed an explainer video to introduce their services for their website launch. The video aims to explain their services informatively and reassuringly while highlighting professionalism and reliability.
What is the task?
The video has to be visually memorable, serving as a mental reference for those who may unfortunately encounter sexual violence in the future. The sensitive subject matter also required careful handling to avoid triggering.

How did we approach the project?
We came up with a couple of character designs, all of which took a gender-neutral approach, as we wanted to imply that anyone could be a victim of sexual violence. We spent a lot of time exploring ways to depict the procedure in a comforting way, from colour palette, character design, to sound design.
It was an honor to participate in this meaningful project. In an ideal world, sexual violence would not exist, but unfortunately, it's more prevalent than we often acknowledge. This video serves as a reminder that support is available and, most importantly, that survivors are not alone.
