Lakbay was born from a bootcamp project in the year 2023. I enrolled in a UX bootcamp offered by CIIT Philippines (College of Arts and Technology) - one of the leading schools for multimedia arts, game development, computer science, and enterpreneurship.

It started with thinking of a concept app, something that we think will be useful, or something that we're passionate about and we'd like to share with the world. As a travel bug, I didn't have any other app in mind but a travel buddy app.

There are so many travel apps out there already; what makes mine unique? Well, first, if you're wondering why my chosen logo is a kite, kites can be built by anyone with just sticks, papers, and a string - nothing fancy and expensive, but can really give a sense of fun and freedom. That's the kind of message that I would like my app to bring - offering cheap flights for everyone and anyone to enjoy.

There are other activities that were done during the bootcamp like prioritization matrix, user flow diagramming, information architecture, mood boards, comparative analysis, creating components and a simple design system, lo- to- hi-fidelity wireframing, and prototyping.
