Mechanical Soft Press is a small art-book and zine press based in NY. Their needs included establishing brand colors, an updated logo and animation, and an ecommerce site built in Webflow. In addition to this work, I also did the book layouts for three of their releases to date.

A catalog of modified, black, unwanted, punk and hardcore shirts which have been grown out of literally and figuratively. Each shirt is scaled on the page according to its actual size, with a front view, back view, and detail on the adjacent page.

A book of the work of Chicago photographer, Sonnie Wooden. For this book, I was tasked with creating a remix of an existing photo book, starting over from scratch with just the raw images and text. The resulting zine is 8"x10", 56 black and white pages. Featuring photography, two poems, and a dedication; with a new cover design and custom type.

A collection of images obtained through an open call for photos of the death of a loved one. The book contains 160 pages, from 39 selected participants. Submissions are sequenced chronologically according to where their loved one was in the process of dying at the time the image was made. As a result, where one submission ends another begins, with each helping to tell the other’s story.
