Dawn Project: Climate Art Competition and Website Rebuild

The Dawn Project is a Nigerian environmental NGO that uses art to raise climate awareness, through writing, performance, visual art, music and movement. Their WordPress site had become slow, dated and expensive to host, so I rebuilt it from scratch as a warm, editorial site that feels closer to the work they do.
Their yearly competition is the most public thing they do, so the site is built around it. Entrants pick one of five categories, upload their work and get an email confirmation, plus a card they can share. Spam checks and rate limits keep the entries clean, and the team gets a Telegram alert for each new one.
The rest of the organisation lives here too: competition archives, events, a photo gallery, and the Green Ambassadors programme with its own sign-up. It all runs on a CMS, so the team can update content without a developer.
Design, frontend, backend and deployment, built with Astro, Sanity and Cloudflare. Live at dawnproject.org

A full rebuild for a Nigerian climate NGO: a warm editorial site, a competition entry system and a CMS the team runs themselves.
