Andela.com: Enterprise Retainer

I recently partnered with Andela, a global talent network focused on empowering skilled professionals in developing nations and connecting them with clients seeking top engineering talent.

They were ready to move their cluttered WordPress marketing site to a more modern platform, and contacted me to discuss Webflow’s potential benefits and limitations. After a detailed strategy consultation, they decided to proceed with the migration, and we launched the project together.

Their team provided the designs, which I used to develop a robust, enterprise-level Webflow site. Despite a tight deadline, I successfully delivered the project by building the new site, migrating a significant volume of WordPress posts, and providing clear leadership to keep everything organized and on schedule.

To ensure efficiency without compromising quality, I utilized the Relume library and adhered to Client-First naming conventions. This approach allowed me to quickly construct page frameworks while maintaining consistency.

The site integrates Marketo forms, requiring custom CSS to achieve a seamless look, which I carefully implemented. I even created a multi-step form to allow the user to choose a path for their sales conversations.

I also enhanced the user experience by incorporating Finsweet Attributes, such as Mirror Click and Disable Scrolling, to refine key interactions.

A highlight of the project was configuring a reverse-proxy server to enable Webflow and WordPress to coexist on the same domain. Since some older pages weren’t prioritized for the initial Webflow launch, this solution provided a temporary bridge, ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting their existing content.

I've continued on a long-term retainer with Andela for over 2 years, providing ongoing maintenance and page development.
