During my time at Novritsch in Austria, I took on a key project: designing their first gas-operated airsoft rifle. Named the SSQ22, this rifle faithfully replicates the feel of the esteemed Ruger 10/22 platform, providing airsoft enthusiasts with an authentic shooting experience.

The SSQ22 is a snappy Gas Blowback Rifle. Given the ease of use, it is the best way to get into GBBRs. The design is modern and comes with upgraded features improving accuracy and user experience.

As part of my responsibilities, I was tasked with designing the body (receiver) and handguard for the SSQ22.

These components were designed to integrate modern features such as QD mounts, MLOK-compatible accessory mounts, and a Picatinny-style rail for interchangeable stocks.

Considering the mass production methods of injection molding and aluminum extrusion with CNC milling, I ensured easy assembly by incorporating special preparation features like draft angles for molded parts and 2D projections for extrusions. This planning facilitated seamless production and assembly processes.
