The project: Fatbikecheck.nl

For this project, I collaborated with Fatbikecheck.nl to redesign and optimize their fatbike legality check website, ensuring a seamless transition to the Shopify platform. The goal was to improve the site’s user experience (UX), update the visual design, and create an optimized e-commerce experience that aligns with the client’s branding and business objectives.

Scope of the project:

Platform: Shopify
Design Tools: Figma (for wireframing & prototyping)
Development Tool: Instant App (recommended by the client)

Process Overview:

Research & Planning:
I analyzed the client’s requirements and existing website to identify UX pain points.
I worked closely with the client to gather insights into their brand vision, product categories, and functional requirements.
2. Wireframing:
I created low-fidelity wireframes in Figma to map out the new site’s structure, focusing on an intuitive layout and clear product navigation.

After client feedback, I refined the designs into high-fidelity wireframes that included branding elements, color palettes, and typography to visualize the final look and feel.

3. Development:
I used the Instant App to efficiently develop the site on Shopify, as recommended by the client.
This allowed for seamless integration of Shopify’s e-commerce tools, including product management, payment gateways, and checkout functionality.
4. Optimization & Testing:
I ensured the site was mobile-responsive, loading quickly across all devices.
I tested the UX flow, ensuring easy navigation from product browsing to checkout, enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Outcome

The redesigned Fatbikecheck.nl website offers a modern, user-friendly interface that enhances the brand's online presence. With its smooth Shopify integration, the site is optimized for scalability and improved sales performance bij 35%, providing both the client and their customers with an efficient and enjoyable e-commerce experience.
