May there be more and more spaces that celebrate diversity and inclusion! We were commissioned to transform an underused 4.00 x 4.50m room into an incredible environment: an Afroteca — a library dedicated to promoting Afro-Brazilian and African culture — and a breastfeeding support area. The Afroteca offers books, toys, games, and musical instruments that highlight African heritage and contemporary issues, fostering respect, equality, and anti-racist education from childhood. With soft flooring, playful murals, and vibrant colors, the space encourages children's autonomy with accessible shelves and interactive elements. The breastfeeding area was designed as a warm and welcoming corner, featuring a changing station, hygiene facilities, a comfortable armchair, and storytelling walls that embrace every mother and child.
