CMD CNTR is an on demand engineering and support platform designed to give small businesses a centralized way to manage technical work without the overhead of building a large internal engineering team.
The platform combines project visibility, support requests, time usage, billing, team management, and engineering operations into a unified command center.

The Challenge

Small businesses often manage development requests, support issues, invoices, communication, and project progress across multiple disconnected tools.
The goal was to create a streamlined platform where clients could clearly see what was happening across their technical work while giving the engineering team a structured system for managing delivery.
The product needed to remain simple for non technical users while supporting multiple customers, projects, support requests, and operational workflows.

My Role

Full Stack Developer
Worked across the product architecture, frontend experience, backend functionality, data flows, integrations, and production delivery.
My focus was on creating a scalable SaaS experience that made complex engineering operations understandable and manageable for clients.

Technical Approach

The platform was structured around reusable React components and Next.js application architecture using TypeScript.
The product architecture separated customer accounts, projects, support activity, time usage, and operational data so the system could grow without making the client experience unnecessarily complex.
A major focus was making information immediately understandable. Clients needed to see active projects, remaining capacity, open requests, delivery activity, and account information without navigating multiple systems.

Product Experience

The command center provides clients with visibility into:

This creates a single operational view instead of relying on disconnected communication and project management tools.

Key Engineering Considerations

Scalability
The system needed to support multiple businesses, projects, users, and ongoing engineering engagements.
Maintainability
Reusable application components and clearly separated product domains make future functionality easier to introduce.
Usability
The interface was designed around business users rather than engineers, keeping project and technical information easy to understand.
Operational visibility
Clients can quickly understand what is currently happening across their engagement instead of repeatedly requesting status updates.

Outcome

CMD CNTR became a centralized operational layer connecting clients with engineering delivery.
It gives businesses better visibility into their projects, support requests, engineering capacity, and ongoing technical work while giving the delivery team a more structured way to manage customer operations.
The result is a product that combines software delivery, support, and client operations inside one unified experience.
