PitchCollectives started off as an online football kit store, where people could purchase retro football kits from. Their idea was to bring across a more memorable brand reputation in all aspects of their brand. This meant logo revamps, art direction, building of brand foundation and online strategies for social media in order for them to be more engaging.
Inspired by the early 2000s and late 90s, PitchCollectives were fascinated with football culture and the happiness shared amongst those with similar interest. This love was found as a representation in an iconic football from the early 2000s, which later inspired me further to revolve the logo around the football’s design. The colour, concepts, moodboards and old photography allowed me to understand their brand direction and further develop it into the modern world.
PitchCollectives’ approach is to capture football in everyday life, as well as embrace the culture that is football heritage. This is done in a setting with nostalgia in the photo edits, the poses and art direction for the models. Football heritage is always about loving football compared to just playing it. The approach was not to just sell kits, it was to keep the heritage and culture alive.
