Background & Challenge
Clasa de Canto is a contemporary music academy in Chișinău, aiming to inspire and educate the next generation of vocalists and musicians. Before our collaboration, the school lacked a dedicated digital touchpoint—making it difficult to reach prospective students and streamline communication for existing ones. The main challenge was to design a site that would:
Accurately communicate the academy’s values & unique teaching approach
Offer intuitive registration and program information for parents and students
Modernize the school’s brand to match its innovative teaching style
Make the site scalable for upcoming features (events, resources, online classes)

My Approach & Design Process
Discovery & Research:
Conducted competitor and local market analysis (music schools in Moldova and EU)
Facilitated interviews with the client (academy founder; insights from vocal coaches)
Developed user personas: aspiring students (children & young adults), parents, and teaching staff
UX Strategy:
Defined primary user journey: from discovering the school, browsing course info to registration
Laid out a clear information architecture—ensuring all essential touch points (courses, teachers, FAQs, contact) were easy to access in two or fewer clicks
Wireframing & Prototyping:
Sketched multiple homepage and registration flow wireframes for stakeholder review
Prototyped high-fidelity mockups in Figma, iterating based on live feedback
Emphasized mobile-first design
UI & Branding:
Crafted a modern, fresh identity—color palette and typography inspired by music & creativity
Applied consistent visual hierarchies for fast scanning and easy navigation
Hero Section (Featuring a "Our playlist starts with this song" section)
Outcomes & Impact
Delivered an engaging website that positions Clasa de Canto as a top-tier music destination in Moldova
Simplified the sign-up and registration process: early analytics show reduced drop-offs and more qualified inquiries
Modern site aesthetics and improved digital presence led to a 20% increase in direct online applications (within the first quarter)
The scalable framework allows for the easy addition of online events, teacher scheduling, and resources
Received positive feedback from both the client and user base, particularly on mobile usability and the overall uplifting, inviting feel.
