CSV validation and output protection — Demo case study

This case study examines the validation checks in the same fictional CSV sales-report demonstration shown elsewhere in this portfolio. It is not a separate customer engagement. The script checks required columns, unique nonempty row IDs, product names, positive whole-number quantities and nonnegative prices with up to two decimals. The runnable checks cover missing data, malformed rows, empty input, exact Decimal totals, spreadsheet formula neutralization and protection of existing output files. Validation completes before the report is created. Source and checks are included in the demonstration package. AI-assisted development with verified expected results.
