How I helped to grow a podcast from scratch to over +50,000 followers across social media.
Summary & Goals
Hector Escajadillo wanted to create a podcast but didn't know which direction to take, he had experience as a life coach and wanted to translate that into the content.
As his go-to digital marketer I :
Performed market research to discover what his competitors were doing.
Develop a high-level content strategy to start getting traffic to his socials.
Crafted his ideal target audience
Designed and edited all his content according to his needs.
Process:
Based on my research I developed a full-funnel model to distribute his content across channels that we're appropriate:
The funnel was simple: document large pieces of content and then distribute them across channels.
The first step was creating our Youtube channel which hosted the main content of the podcast.
Since short-form video content was emerging, I decided we should bring all our efforts into Instagram and TikTok. That way we'll be able to scale his socials quickly.
The Challenge:
Since this was a brand-new podcast with no audience and previous feedback. There was no guideline for creating a successful podcast. Plus we did not know who to invite.
