Creative Documentary for a Non-Profit Organization

This is a documentary that I directed, shot and edited for Refuge of Hope Inc., a non-profit organization in the Philippines.

The visual concept for this project was to give a picture of the day to day lives of the children who are sheltered at Refuge of Hope. It was crucial to protect the identities of the children so I came up with creative ways to show their daily activities without showing their faces. There were also talking-head portions that I filmed with the staff and co-founders that explained the history and vision of the organization.

I shot the film over two and half days and spent two weeks for editing, color grading, and adding music and text.

The client was very happy with the finished product and used it to raise awareness of their work in various countries!
