Set against the backdrop of Argentina's 2001 economic crisis, Alta Cumbia follows Fanta, a passionate Cumbia Villera enthusiast who runs a bootleg CD and DVD shop. After being fired from his job at a production company, Fanta finds himself living in a shantytown. His former boss, Carlos, approaches him with an unexpected proposition: to produce a TV show for Spain exploring the origins of Cumbia Villera amidst the social and economic turmoil of the time. Fanta reluctantly agrees and embarks on a journey to interview key figures in the genre. The film delves into the clash between the producers' prejudices and the musicians' fight for recognition, as Fanta strives to showcase Cumbia Villera as an authentic cultural and artistic expression.

My studio, Tunda Audiovisual, played a pivotal role in bringing Alta Cumbia to life. We handled a wide range of post-production tasks, including editing the film, color grading, crafting the sound design, creating VFX composites, and designing motion graphics for titles and credits. Our meticulous attention to detail and creative expertise ensured a cohesive and visually captivating final product.
