MCP Server Starter: Production-Ready TypeScript Template

I built a small TypeScript template for creating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that are ready to run in production. It follows the same pattern I use in my LinkedIn, Twitter, Medium and Kaggle MCP servers. It's built on the official MCP SDK's McpServer API with a stdio transport, so it works with Claude Desktop, Cursor and any other MCP client. Every tool validates its inputs with zod, and a shared error wrapper turns failures into MCP tool errors instead of crashing the server. All logs go to stderr to keep the protocol stream clean, and an ESLint rule blocks stray console.log calls, the most common reason a new MCP server silently fails. API keys are read from environment variables, masked in logs, and a missing key gives a clear error. GitHub Actions CI typechecks, lints and builds on Node 20 and 22. It includes an example tool, a step-by-step guide to adding your own, and an MIT license.
