The Secrets of the Wind

The winds howl throughout the night
I stay up listening to voices hidden inside
They tell stories about times from before
Memories that they keep deeply stored
They whisper their secrets
Thinking no one can hear
But i hear their voices, I see their fear
I sit there in silence, never making a noise
I know if they hear me, they'll lower their voice
They worry about the things that will come
They worry about the choices of some
They worry that some things just won't last
Things from before, things from the past
The winds whistles through the trees
Shaking every limb and knocking off leaves
Never knowing when its needed
Never knowing when to let things be
The wind is always listening
Even when its not around
The wind can always be heard
No matter how far it is into the ground
Dont let it fool you into thinking its gone
The wind will always be there even after we're gone
