Airbnb x FIFA | Event Photography in Providence

Airbnb brought together current and prospective hosts in Providence, Rhode Island for a workshop focused on one thing: getting ready for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The event, held at The Dye House, was part information session, part community-building exercise, giving locals the tools and confidence to open their spaces to the wave of visitors headed to the region.

I was hired directly by Airbnb to document the full event, from speaker presentations and panel moments to candid networking and branded touchpoints throughout the venue.

Airbnb needed comprehensive coverage: speakers on stage, audience engagement, branding and signage, candid interactions between attendees, and the overall atmosphere of the space. The photos would be used for a press release, so the images needed to feel polished and editorial while still capturing the energy of the room.

I was on-site at The Dye House for 3 hours, working with natural light and supplementing where needed. The goal was to stay mobile and unobtrusive, capturing real moments without disrupting the flow of the workshop. I moved between wide establishing shots of the venue, tight frames on speakers and panelists, and candid pulls of hosts connecting with each other.

Same-day, I delivered 5 selects so the Airbnb team had assets to work with immediately. Within 48 hours, I turned around a full gallery of 109 final edited images, all processed in Adobe Lightroom and ready for press use.

For event work at this scale, speed matters as much as quality. The combination of same-day selects and a 48-hour full delivery meant the Airbnb team could move on their press release without waiting, with a full library of images to pull from for future use.
