A Spirited Journey: An AI Cinematic Short Film

Project Overview & Technical Workflow For this project, my goal was to blend traditional anime aesthetics with modern AI workflows to tell a personal story. Here is a breakdown of the process:

Character Design: The first step was taking reference photos of my daughter and transforming them into an anime character using Nano Banana. Reference Sheet: To lock in the character's look and ensure visual consistency, I generated a detailed character reference sheet using ChatGPT Image 2.0. Scene Generation: I built the initial establishing shot using Seedance 2.0. From there, I used specific elements from that first scene (like the bridge, the flowers, and the overall environment) as image prompts for the following shots. This was crucial for maintaining strict scene and spatial consistency throughout the video. Post-Production: All the generated clips were then brought into Adobe Premiere Pro for the final edit and assembly.

Quick Thoughts on Seedance 2.0: Seedance is genuinely an incredible tool. Yes, the generation process involved a lot of outtakes I had to discard a bunch of unusable shots and do some heavy trimming in the edit. But despite that, there still isn't another tool on the market that delivers this level of cinematic quality, character acting, and environmental consistency. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with the next version.
