Introduction

3D environment design is an essential aspect of modern-day gaming and animation. It involves creating a virtual world that looks and feels realistic, allowing players or viewers to immerse themselves in the experience.
In this case study, we will explore the process of designing a 3D environment featuring a wall and two pillars set near a riverbank. We will delve into the creative decisions that went into the design and the technical aspects of bringing the environment to life.

Concept Art

Before starting the 3D modelling process, I created a real environment from the real world. I have grabbed leaves and branches in HD photos to give the perfect and real texture to establish the overall look and feel of the environment.
The concept art for this environment focused on creating a tranquil atmosphere. The Wall was designed to be the centrepiece, with the wall and pillars acting as complementary elements that added depth and interest to the scene.

Lighting and Texturing

After the modelling was complete, the team focused on lighting and texturing the environment. They experimented with different lighting setups to create the desired mood and atmosphere, using shadows and highlights to add depth and realism.
The texturing process involved adding colour and detail to the objects in the scene. The team used a variety of techniques to create realistic-looking stone and water textures, paying close attention to the way light interacts with the surfaces.
