The Problem
Sales funnels, while extremely easy to setup, are becoming complex monstrosities faster and faster as our tech progresses. Thus the barrier of entry is becoming greater. Most business owners out there don't want to spend days learning a CRM (sometimes months). It takes them from their true passion, their business. Plus, it's just "one more thing" they have to be concerned with on top of already busy schedules.
The Basic Funnel Setup
Most every funnel I've done begins with some variation of the items below....

Landing/ Sales Pages
Most clients that come to me for a sales funnel usually start off with the simple lander.
This is, usually one of, if not the most important page in the entire funnel. This is their potential clients 1st impression after clicking through a facebook,google ad, or other traffic means.
Usually some form of opt in or place where clients can enter their information in exchange for the entry level product in the funnel (usually free or extremely cheap)
Typical funnel build consists of 4/5 pages (done much larger as well really depends on the client here and their current product/sales pipelines)

Payment Processors
If they are selling product the ability to easily and seamlessly connect to an api is paramount in order to take the complexity out of the product purchasing process.
This is where platforms like using make.com
Paypal, Stripe, Authorize.net
Database Creation/ Data Visualization
If you are running Facebook ads its as a part of the funnel package, clients should receive weekly reports.
Reports are easy to follow historically so that anyone can look back over time to quickly and easily see important data points.
Zapier, Conversion APi's, and Automations
Robust tracking system, this is super important as its what clients should be using to make their decisions. If it's wrong, then off the rip their data suffers and so do they.
DON'T RELY ON FACEBOOK DATA!! (should have real time stats or numbers which you can evaluate)
This is where platforms like using make.com
On platform automations (see familiar ones above)
JS or scripting automation (aggregate and sort data)
Custom Coded Solutions
Javascript, HTML, Custom Animations or CSS. You name it, we've probably done some version of it for a client.
Email Sequences
Knowledge of what makes good email campaign as well as some of the common pitfalls people can make when setting these up.
Making sure DKIM and other email validation techniques are followed and setup properly (that way the emails go to the inbox and not spam).
Lead Management
Cleaning out old or unnecessary leads from email sequences.
Creating a logical tagging/list system so leads can be easily targeted and classified.
