Warning: this project may have plenty of flaws that I am now aware of after creating  bigger projects, but it is very precious to me. Let me explain why.
Back in uni, we were tasked with creating a 36-minute still picture movie that would convey a compelling narrative. Despite the fact that it was intended to be a group initiative, none of my friends shared my vision for the project. I couldn't let it fade away, I took matters into my own hands, determined not to let my concept go to waste. I began storyboarding the ideas.
I understand! The story was personal—about my two uncles, best friends for life, torn apart by fate. One moved to America, the other stayed in Egypt, and they hadn't seen each other in ages.
The story unfolds as a day in their lives, from shared meals to gaming with friends. Yet, beneath the surface, you see the loneliness of the brother in Egypt, missing his companion. It climaxes with their tearful reunion at an airport, and then the real twist—my uncles themselves.
This video made my friends cry, brought my uncle to tears, and even led to a call from America. It became the best project, but more importantly, it's a cherished story of family and separation, reminding us of the bonds that endure despite distance.
