Originally created for Unbroken Steel, this horizontal skull-and-sword illustration was an early visual direction developed for the project. As the commission expanded to incorporate additional imagery, the final cover evolved into a different composition. This original piece remains a complete standalone illustration and demonstrates the project’s early exploration of mortality, conflict, and endurance.
