My role. n8n Automation Engineer & AI Workflow Architect

As an n8n Automation Engineer and AI Workflow Architect, I designed and built a fully automated image generation pipeline that acts like an in-house photography studio. By connecting Google Drive, Google Sheets, ChatGPT, and an advanced AI image generator (Flux), I created a system where marketing and design teams can produce dozens of professional, ready-to-use product photos from a single image—all without any design skills. This project showcases my ability to architect complex, multi-step AI automations that solve real-world business bottlenecks and deliver massive time savings.

The client's marketing team faced a classic problem: they needed a constant stream of fresh, diverse images for ads, social media, and their website, but traditional photoshoots were slow and expensive. They were spending hours in editing software to make minor changes.

The goal was to create a "magic" workflow that was:

Fully automated- Requiring zero manual intervention after the initial setup.

Incredibly simple to use- The entire process had to be controlled from a basic Google Sheet.

High-quality- The generated images needed to be professional and maintain the identity of the original product or model.

Organized- The final assets had to be neatly filed and easily accessible.

Built using n8n as the central automation brain.

Google Drive Trigger- The entire workflow kicks off automatically when a new image is dropped into a specific folder.

Simple Google Sheets Interface- Users control the AI by typing plain-language prompts (e.g., "change background to a beach at sunset") into a cell.

ChatGPT Prompt Enhancement- A step where ChatGPT refines the user's simple request into a detailed, optimized prompt for the image AI.

High-Fidelity Image Generation: Used Flux to generate five distinct image variants while preserving the core identity of the subject.

Automatic File Management- The system creates a new, timestamped Google Drive folder for each batch of generated images.

Closed-Loop System- The workflow completes by updating the original Google Sheet with thumbnails of the new images and direct share links, giving the user a perfect overview.
