Graphic Design & Illustration for Canonical: Publisher of Ubuntu
On-going design services for Canonical’s Brand Squad business as usual, which include but are not limited to white papers, case studies, data sheets, illustrations, event collateral, and social media support.
Canonical is the creator of Ubuntu, a free and open-source Linux operating system. As a contract designer, I immersed myself in their brand identity & visual language to collaborate with the Canonical Brand Squad to produce high quality marketing materials that are distributed to their global audience.
Whitepapers, Data Sheets, & Case Studies
I worked alongside the marketing & communications teams and product managers to produce demand generation collateral.
I utilize the current Canonical Illustration library, which contains branded isometric and flat illustrations to create marketing documents such as whitepapers, data sheets, and case studies. I utilize their illustration language to make new icons, illustrations, and diagrams.
Social Media Template Design
I created Instagram story templates for the official Ubuntu account, reaching an audience of over 117K+ followers.
In addition to the templates, I also created a guidelines document to deliver to the social media team to ensure brand consistency and best practices for creation and use of the templates.
Youtube Thumbnail Templates
I worked with a Senior Designer to create templates in Canva for the social media team to utilize. Previous templates were off-brand, and the design required strategy to ensure for high click rates, and improved readability at reduced sizes.YouTube Thumbnail Design

Trina worked with our team for a year and we cannot recommend her enough. She's not only a great designer, she's smart, hard-working, and professional.
