Young Living, a global leader in essential oils, needed a scalable Shopify storefront that could handle high traffic and integrate smoothly with its existing backend systems. The goal was to modernize the online shopping experience, improve performance, and streamline internal workflows.
My Role & Contributions
Developed custom Shopify Liquid for a responsive, user-friendly storefront.
Built Node.js microservices to handle order processing, real-time inventory sync, and third-party integration.
Used Jira for sprint planning, task management, and cross-team collaboration.
Optimized checkout flow and product pages, reducing friction for customers.
Impact & Results
Increased site performance and stability, handling thousands of concurrent users during promotions.
Checkout speed improved by ~40%, reducing cart abandonment.
Seamless backend sync eliminated manual reconciliation work for the client's operations team.
