Objective: The primary goal of the CMSC website design project was to create a professional, user-friendly online presence that accurately reflects CMSC’s mission and values while engaging its target audience. The site needed to convey credibility and provide easy access to information about CMSC’s services, resources, and news.

Context: CMSC (Center for Mission Support and Coordination) sought to redesign its website to improve usability, enhance visual appeal, and better represent its brand. As a key information hub, the website needed to serve clients, stakeholders, and other visitors with clear, organized, and accessible content that aligns with CMSC’s identity and objectives.

Challenges: A significant challenge was restructuring the existing content to improve navigability and present information in a more engaging way. The existing site had dense information, making it difficult for users to find what they needed quickly. Additionally, balancing CMSC’s formal, credible tone with a modern, visually appealing design required a careful approach to maintain professionalism without losing engagement.

Process: I began by conducting a detailed review of CMSC’s current site and gathering input from stakeholders to understand user pain points and expectations. Based on this feedback, I developed a clean, modular layout that prioritized accessibility and ease of navigation. The design utilized CMSC’s brand colors and professional typography, with visual hierarchy and strategic whitespace to improve readability. I created wireframes, tested interactive prototypes, and refined elements based on usability testing, ensuring the final design was both intuitive and aesthetically aligned with CMSC’s mission.

Takeaways: This project underscored the importance of user-centered design, especially in complex information structures.
