Client: Real Estate Professional & Founder
Industry: Dubai Real Estate
My Role: Video Editing, Voiceover Integration, Documentary Pacing
The Background
My client is a Dubai-based real estate professional building Sante Properties, a real estate company, through property tour and real estate content. Her audience includes high-net-worth investors and people curious about living in Dubai. This vlog was built to show a side of Dubai most people never see.
The Challenge
"I want to show people the real Dubai, not just the supercars and skyscrapers."
The footage spanned two completely different worlds across 6 locations, the historic streets of Old Dubai and the ultra-luxury of J1 Beach. The challenge was making both feel like one cohesive story with a clear emotional arc.
š¬ 250-300+ raw footage files, chaotic and difficult to organize
š Voiceover narration needed for both intro and outro
š§ Needed to feel like a documentary, not just a vlog
ā³ Long-form pacing had to hold audience attention across 33 minutes
The Approach
The goal was to edit this as a story of transformation. Dubai's past meeting its present. I opened with a cinematic voiceover setting the historical contrast, paced the Old Dubai sections slower and more cultural, then shifted the energy for the J1 Beach sequence to reflect the luxury contrast. Music-driven sequences were edited in between to maintain momentum. The video closed with a scripted outro voiceover tying the full journey together. Every decision served one goal making the story land.
Why It Worked
š¬ Cinematic intro and outro gave the video a clear story arc
šµ Music editing maintained energy across the full runtime
š The contrast between Old Dubai and J1 Beach created a natural narrative journey
The Impact
This wasn't just a travel vlog. It positioned my client as someone who understands Dubai on a deeper level, its history, its culture, and its future. The edit helped that story reach the right audience.
