The client supplied final manuscript copy, a sample visual direction, typefaces, a color palette, and AI-generated image assets. My role was to turn those ingredients into a coherent, readable workbook layout.
The challenge
The manuscript needed consistent pacing across text-heavy curriculum pages while retaining the client's established visual direction. Some pages also needed more imagery, so I flagged the gaps and requested additional assets from the client before completing the final layouts.
What I did
Designed the editorial grid and page layouts
Applied the supplied typography, color palette, and sample style consistently
Structured text, prompts, and visual moments for easier reading
Identified missing image placements and coordinated additional client-provided assets
Finalized the workbook as a complete layout system
Outcome
The initial workbook grew into a completed 3-book series, with the client commissioning 2 additional volumes.
Deliverable
A completed diary curriculum workbook series, designed as a cohesive editorial layout system and prepared for the client's next production step.
