ChemiProbe – API automation for chemical price quotations

Summary: An automated API pipeline that fetches chemical price quotations and serves them to the front end, so the team always sees current prices without collecting them by hand.

Context / client: ChemiProbe, a business working with chemical products that needed up-to-date price information inside its web tools.

Problem: Price quotations for chemicals were gathered manually from external sources. The process was slow, repetitive and error-prone, and the data shown to users could quickly go out of date.

My role: I designed and built the automation and the API layer that exposes the data to the front end.

What was built: • An automated job that fetches chemical price quotations from external sources • Normalisation of the fetched data into a consistent structure • A REST API that exposes current quotations to the front end • Integration with the front end so users see up-to-date prices without manual updates • Separation between data collection, business logic and presentation, so each part can change independently

Outcome: Price quotations reach the front end automatically through the API. Collecting them by hand is no longer needed, and users work with current data.
