When a content studio runs a design sprint, there isn't often a strategist in the room. But when a client comes forward looking for design work without a clear vision for how it will fit into their strategy, that studio calls CMLC.
The client needed to ensure their pan-European messaging- a delicate balance of identities, issues, and potential crises- was represented not only with beautiful campaigns, but in their day-to-day events and workflow. It become clear, like with so many clients, that the team, while agreed on the mission of the organization, did not know what that mission meant for their individual roles or how it connected back to concrete goals.
Breaking down how the team worked, what they needed to know, and how they would get where they wanted to go were the tasks for the strategy track of the 3-day sprint. Over 24 hours of workshop time, the team got clarity on how they worked together, the goals for the team as a whole, and how those goals would shape their own tasks.
After 3 days, the team walked away with beautiful visuals for use across their day-to-day and standout communication projects, a plan for how to handle new project intake, and SMART goals- with a measurement plan!- to bring those visuals to their key audiences.
