TheElectricalGuy Academy is an online education platform helping electrical engineering students, fresh graduates, and working professionals through premium courses, live webinars, engineering articles, books, and industry collaborations.
As the business expanded globally, the platform needed an infrastructure using Framer that could support continuous growth without increasing operational complexity.

📚 Existing Workflow (Before)
The existing website had evolved over several years without a scalable foundation.
Content was split across Framer, WordPress, and multiple domains.
Every new course required manual creation and maintenance of pages.
There was no design system or consistent content structure.
Poor SEO foundations, limited discoverability, higher bounce rates.
The founder spent unnecessary time managing content instead of growing the business.

Build a future-proof platform without increasing ongoing maintenance
📚 My Approach
Rather than redesigning pages individually, I approached the project as a systems-building exercise.
I first established the design system, information architecture, CMS structure, and implementation roadmap before rebuilding the platform inside Framer.
Every decision prioritized scalability, maintainability, and founder independence.

📚 Strategic Decisions
1. Consolidated the digital ecosystem
Instead of maintaining multiple domains, subdomains, WordPress articles, and Framer pages, I proposed consolidating everything into a single platform under a new & simpler domain,
theelectricalguyacademy.com. This created a more cohesive experience for users while simplifying long-term maintenance.2. Designed a scalable content architecture
Rather than creating new pages for every course, I recommended building a relational CMS architecture that would allow future courses, articles, instructors, testimonials, and resources to be managed from a centralized system. Every CMS field includes contextual guidance, required field validation, and content descriptions so future contributors can confidently manage the platform without documentation.
3. Built within business constraints
Instead of recommending a higher Framer plan, I designed the CMS architecture to stay within the founder's existing Framer Pro plan by maximizing reusable collections and relationships.
4. Standardized the design language
Instead of redesigning pages independently, I proposed creating a complete design system first so every future page would remain visually and technically consistent.
5. Optimized for founder independence
Every architectural decision was made with one objective: enabling the founder to manage the platform confidently without relying on a developer for routine updates.
📚 Domain Consolidation
One of the biggest infrastructure improvements was consolidating multiple domains and subdomains into a single destination.
To preserve existing links and search engine equity, I planned and implemented permanent 301 redirects through GoDaddy and Cloudflare, ensuring users and search engines were routed to the correct pages after launch.
Instead of operating across several disconnected destinations, the academy now lives under one unified domain.
