Trust is the currency of any successful marketplace. Vendyz is a dedicated escrow platform engineered to facilitate completely secure transactions between buyers and vendors. To maintain platform integrity, the administrative team requires a powerful, high-density dashboard to monitor financial flows, manage logistics, and resolve disputes in real time. This project involved architecting the comprehensive admin interface that serves as the operational nerve center for the entire Vendyz ecosystem.

Enterprise-level escrow systems generate complex, interconnected data. The challenge was building an administrative interface capable of handling multi-step dispute resolutions, stringent KYC verifications, and granular financial ledgers without overwhelming the user. The UI needed to parse thousands of transactions and display critical status updates across logistics and wallets instantly, requiring a highly optimized, state-driven frontend.

While engineering the frontend infrastructure for this internal tool, I prioritized performance, type safety, and accessibility. The dashboard was built using Next.js and React, leveraging TypeScript to ensure robust data handling across complex API responses.

To achieve a clean, standardized, and highly readable interface, I utilized Tailwind CSS paired with Shadcn UI for modular, reusable components (such as status badges, data tables, and modal drawers). Furthermore, integrating AI development tools like Cursor and Claude into my workflow enabled rapid prototyping and highly efficient iterations of complex, data-heavy views, ensuring the platform was shipped securely and efficiently.

The primary dashboard provides a high-level, real-time snapshot of the platform's health. It features dynamic charting for User Growth and Transaction Volume, alongside critical financial metrics like total Escrow Balance (₦400,000) and Wallet Distribution. The layout is designed for immediate cognitive processing, allowing admins to assess platform liquidity and active dispute loads at a glance.

Managing a dual-sided marketplace requires strict oversight. The User Management module features a highly interactive data table enabling admins to filter thousands of users by type (Buyer/Vendor), active status, and KYC level. Dynamic color-coded badges instantly communicate whether an account is Active, Suspended, or Blocked.

Drilling down into an individual user reveals a streamlined profile view dedicated to trust and safety. Admins can verify contact details and, crucially, review local KYC compliance metrics such as BVN and NIN verification statuses. The interface provides direct, high-contrast actions to suspend or manage accounts directly from this view.

Escrow platforms live and die by their dispute management. This highly customized table categorizes conflicts by specific types (PAYMENT_ISSUE, DELIVERY_DELAY, PRODUCT_QUALITY) and tracks their progression through a complex resolution pipeline (e.g., ESCALATED, AWAITING_VENDOR, IN-REVIEW). This gives the admin team granular control over mediation.

Bridging the gap between physical goods and digital escrow, the logistics hub tracks shipments against reserved and available balances. Admins can monitor carrier tracking numbers, origin/destination coordinates, and current transit statuses alongside the financial ledger, ensuring funds are only released upon successful delivery.

For granular logistical oversight, the shipment detail page maps out the physical journey of an item (like a MacBook Pro M3). It features a clean, vertical timeline history component—from order placement to transit tracking—providing undeniable proof of fulfillment for escrow release.

The withdrawal history interface isolates a single user's financial movements. It clearly delineates locked Escrow balances from Available balances, tracking individual payout requests to external bank accounts (e.g., OPAY). This transparent ledger is essential for auditing and ensuring vendors receive their funds promptly upon completed transactions.

The Vendyz admin dashboard translates a highly complex, multi-layered escrow architecture into a seamless, intuitive administrative experience. By leveraging a modern React and Next.js stack, the resulting platform ensures platform operators can mediate disputes, verify identities, and manage millions of Naira in secure transactions with total confidence and zero friction.
