However, social media has also been associated with negative impacts on mental health, such as increased feelings of anxiety, depression, and loneliness, as well as cyberbullying and addiction. It is important for users to be mindful of their social media use and to prioritize safe and responsible online behavior .

Fourth, talk to your teen about the pros and cons of social media. While it can be fun, it can also become a distraction. Help your teen understand that social media is a tool and not a replacement for real-life experiences.
Finally, be aware that social media platforms that reward teens with "likes" and new "followers" can trigger and feed that craving. "Likes" can also make bad behavior look good. Encourage your child to be mindful of the role of likes and followers and to use social media in a positive and constructive way.
We all know that social media is a like a hub of everything that is happening and happened around the globe, we can solely say that it's not a one way process. Sometimes you get the information that you don't want to know and then you start believing that without knowing the whole truth. Knowledge and awareness are the keys for productive use of social media platforms.
