NZFlatmates Motion Design Project

I recently created a short motion piece for NZFlatmates, a platform helping people in New Zealand find the right flatmates and homes.

The goal was to bring their product story to life, showing how users can connect, chat and match online before meeting in person.

I drew inspiration from WhatsApp Business motion ads, keeping the visuals clean, friendly, and human while aligning with the brand’s digital tone.

This project was a great reminder that motion design goes beyond movement, it’s about clarity, story and emotion.

Took the NZFlatmates motion direction further with a bento grid experiment, keeping the same tone, tighter design.
