Remote Verification — Django & Browser Video

A visa agency needed a clear way to guide clients through a remote review. The client opens a camera in the browser; an operator follows the video, checks the current stage and decides what happens next.
My role
I built the Python/Django backend, client and video-session models, operator administration and client screens. The work covered browser camera controls, WebRTC signalling and real-time status updates through Django Channels and WebSockets.
How it works
The operator moves a client through camera access, face, document, selfie and data review. Front/rear camera switching supports the different tasks. Django manages the review stages and keeps session identifiers, active state and timestamps. A Telegram staff command links to the web module.
Result
Delivered the client review screens, an operator video viewer and Django tools for managing seven manual stages and video sessions. Review decisions remain with a person.
The portfolio interfaces were refreshed from the original workflow. They use prepared session records and an illustrated camera area; no client documents or footage are shown.

The client follows one instruction at a time and switches between front and rear cameras.
Django administration manages client stages and sends the corresponding status event.
Session records keep identifiers, active state and start/end timestamps; staff can start or stop a session.
The Telegram staff menu provides an entry point to the web review module.
