Superlist

Superlist is revolutionising task management by creating an intelligent to-do app that organises itself. Led by Niklas Jansen (previously co-founder of Blinkist), Superlist aims to be the "Spotify moment" for productivity—transforming how we organize tasks through AI and intuitive design. After their official launch in February 2024, Superlist approached inndio through co-founder Brandon Arnold to rebuild their website in Framer, moving away from their existing Webflow implementation.
Superlist's product goes beyond simple task lists—it offers users a way to structure thinking and transform ideas into actionable steps through intelligent organisation. As a team shipping 27 product updates in 2024 alone, they needed a digital platform that could evolve as quickly as their product.

The Vision

Migrate and transform Superlist's existing Webflow site onto Framer's high-performance platform.
inndio partnered with Superlist to execute a comprehensive rebuild strategy that addressed limitations of their existing implementation while preserving their established visual identity. The Superlist team sought improved interaction capabilities that would be easier to implement in Framer, particularly for features like carousels and hover states that were hardcoded.
The development approach included building a component-based design system from scratch in Framer, implementing robust CMS integration, and developing a platform that enabled fast prototyping of new sections and features to match Superlist's rapid development pace.

Technical Implementation

Engineered for flexibility, designed for impact.
inndio's development focused on creating a premium digital experience across their site. Special attention was paid to complex pages like the homepage incorporating doodle animations that mirrored their app, creative navigational elements and a CMS-driven updates section for Superlist's frequent product announcements. These technical solutions balanced sophisticated design with functionality that maintained a streamlined user experience.

Development Strategy

inndio's technical approach: build from the ground up with performance in mind.
Rather than attempting to port the existing Webflow code, inndio opted for a complete rebuild in Framer. This strategic decision addressed several key limitations:
The existing site had become difficult to maintain with numerous hard coded elements
Interactive features were challenging to implement effectively in Webflow
Content updates required developer intervention due to limited CMS integration
Framer offered superior capabilities for the sophisticated interactions and rapid prototyping Superlist needed
The development process was strategically planned to meet Superlist's timeline with room for thorough QA and content integration.

Collaborative Process

A streamlined partnership built on efficient communication across time zones.
Working with Superlist's entirely remote team required a flexible communication approach. inndio established a dedicated Slack channel for project communication, maintaining clear lines across different time zones without requiring regular stand-ups.
For a team shipping features at Superlist's pace, the ability to quickly prototype and implement changes was critical. Framer's capabilities allowed Superlist to visualise and approve design changes rapidly, ensuring their website could evolve as quickly as their product while meeting their launch deadline.

Launch Impact

A digital platform worthy of Superlist's productivity revolution.
The final website effectively communicates Superlist's approach to task management while providing the robust marketing foundation to support their vision of creating the task management app that "organises itself." As they continue to innovate with features like Talk, their AI voice assistant, they now have a promotional platform that can evolve just as rapidly.
Through this successful collaboration, Superlist now has a sophisticated digital presence that not only showcases their product capabilities but serves as an extension of their product philosophy—intelligent, adaptive, and focused on what matters.
